Rapper T.I. jailed for 11 months after violating probation with drug arrest
October 16th, 2010 - 6:05 pm ICT by ANINew York, Oct 16 (ANI): Rapper T.I. has been sent back to jail for 11 months for violating probation with drug arrest.
T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, Jr., previously served behind bars for 10 months on federal weapons charges, reports the New York Daily News.
A federal judge revoked the rap superstar’s probation in reaction to his arrest last month in Los Angeles on suspicion of drug possession, a spokesman for the U.S. attorney’s office said.
Before the judge’s ruling, the Grammy winner had pleaded for mercy, telling the court that he needs help for drug addiction.
The rapper and record producer documented his drug addictions and legal problems on the MTV reality series, “T.I.’s Road to Redemption.” (ANI)
