August 15th, 2011 - 7:12 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, 15 Aug (THAINDIAN NEWS) Prosecutors in Los Angeles will announce this week whether they will press charges against rapper The Game. A recent tweet from the account of the singer urged his followers to call the telephone number of one of the sheriff’s stations. The singer has denied any involvement in the incident saying his Twitter account was hacked.
The tweet caused some of the 580,000 followers of The Game to call the station number because they were promised internship. The incident caused the telephone system of the station to jam. The Los Angeles Sherriff’s Department has already concluded investigation into the incident and they announced on Sunday that their findings will be forwarded to the district attorney’s office.
The Associated Press reported that several misdemeanor charges could be brought against the rapper. The result of the investigation into the incident is expected to be handed to the district attorney’s office in the next few days.
The spokesperson of the Sherriff’s, Steve Whitmore, informed the press that the police have not yet made any contact with The Game whose real name is Jayceon Terrell Taylor. The incident happened on Friday and the disruption to the telephone system of the station caused major inconvenience.
