Rapper Kid Cudi Given Community Service After He Pleads Guilty

kid-cudi September 28, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The authorities disclosed that the rapper, Kid Cudi had been sentenced to community service for a couple of days after he pleaded guilty to the charge of having cocaine in his possession. This was reported on Monday.

The officers further revealed that the charges against Scott Mescudi, which is Cudi’s real name, are likely to be dropped if he manages to complete the work assigned by the court and stays on the right side of law for a total of six months.

Stacey Richman, the legal representative of Kid Cudi said that he is happy to be able to concentrate on his music career.

The rapper famous for ‘Day N Nite’ was confronted by the police when he threw a tantrum in a state of drunkenness. He was at a Chelsea apartment belonging to a woman then. The law enforcement official later recovered a glassine envelope containing cocaine.

Cudi waived his appearance at the Manhattan Criminal Court when he pled guilty to the offense.

MTV had described Cudi as the protégé of Kanye West who had an ongoing problem with Marijuana which he had boasted of. It was only recently that he had confessed to taking cocaine.

He admitted to the Complex magazine that he had ruined his life and risked his livelihood by using coke and weed alternately which would help him get through the day. He had also been in the news for punching a fan at a Vancouver concert last year. He is now looking forward to his next album’ Man on the Moon 2: The Legend of Mr. Rager’ which is due for release on November 9.
