Rapper ‘Kid Cudi’ Arrested on Felony Charges
June 15th, 2010 - 2:30 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonJune 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Scott Mescudi, better known as rap star ‘Kid Cudi’ was arrested on Friday for an assortment of charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal mischief, when he allegedly busted down a woman’s door, tearing it off the hinges, and destroyed her cell phone.
A spokesman for the New York City Police Department confirmed the reports, that the 26 year old rapper had repeatedly banged on the New York apartment door of the unnamed woman, and knocked the door off the hinges, and marched into her home. He then took her cell phone and broke it.
He was found to have liquid cocaine in his possession at the time of the attack. It is unclear whether or not he was under the influence when he performed the criminal actions.
It is clear that he made bail, since he was at the Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee as scheduled. He shared with the crowd that he “really wanted to be here tonight.” This is not his first brush with the law, and it is not clear why he was not charged with breaking and entering, nor terroristic threat.
