Rapper Kid Cudi arrested in New York
June 15th, 2010 - 12:55 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Jun 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Hip Hop musician Kid Cudi has been arrested on Friday on charges of criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance, reportedly liquid cocaine. He was arrested in New York after reports that the musician took off the door of a woman’s apartment from the hinges, to which it was attached.
He had also broken the woman’s cell phone. There was uproar over the incident, and the police were also called to intervene in the situation. The police arrived and arrested him.
However despite the arrest the rap star managed to be present at the Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee. So perhaps, he might have had been released on bail, in order to make it for his performance at the music festival. When he started his show, then he addressed the arrest incident and said that, he “really wanted to be here tonight”.
Kid Cudi’s original name is Scott Mescudi. He has even collaborated with Kanye West and also gone on a tour with Lady Gaga.
Kid has had numerous run-ins with the law in the past too. He was mistaken to be a looter and interrogated by the Los Angeles police in the past. Later he spoke about the incident and said that, “I’m a free man! For that moment I was not free. I was in handcuffs. It did not feel very comfortable.”
