Rapper Flo Rida arrested for DUI
June 10th, 2011 - 12:22 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattMiami, June 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Rapper Flo Rida has been arrested on suspicion of driving under influence. MTV reports that Flo was arrested after the police at Miami Beach realized that he was driving erratically.
The police sensing that he might be driving under influence signaled him to stop but he failed to do so rather choosing to slow down and later stopping eventually some distance from where the police were standing. The police then asked the “Low” singer to submit himself for sobriety test.
He admitted to the police that he had taken in some alcohol telling the officers that, “Officer, I can’t do this. I can’t walk a straight line. I had a few drinks.”
The singer tried to plead with the police telling them that he lived nearby. Some passerbys also joined in the plea offering to even drive the rapper to his house. The pleas fell on deaf ears as the officers instead took Flo to the Miami Beach Police Department where he was placed in custody and still remain in custody. He has been charged with driving with a suspended license and driving under influence.
The incident happened today at 4 am ET. Flo was born Tramar Dillard.
