Rapper Dr. Dre sued for $1.2 million

Los Angeles, July 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Top producer and rap legend Dr. Dre has had a $1.2 million (800,000 pound sterling) lawsuit filed against him, for refusing to pay for his use of a recording studio.
The hip-hop mogul was named as the defendant in the lawsuit filed by Paramount Recording Studios, which is a California based studio. The officials of the studio said that the producer refused to honor their contractual agreement. The case was filed at the Superior Court in Los Angeles on the July 23. According to documents, Paramount Recording Studios said that Andre Young aka Dr. Dre did not pay for recording tracks in the studio between April 2009 and June 2010.
The lawsuit alleged that Dre failed to pay the money by July 13 after a reported agreement to do so. According to reports by allhiphop.com the producer has been using the same studio for 10 years and also had discounts as a result.
It may be recalled that Dre sued Death Row Records in the earlier part of the year for making a new release of his chart-topping album “The Chronic”. He also alleged that he was neither notified of the re-release nor paid any more money for it. However it ought to be mentioned that the Judge threw out his lawsuit.
