Amitabh Bachchan starrer “Rann’ has already become a dinner table discussion for its punch line, which is a slap on the face of today’s media industry.
But someone from the star cast of the film doesn’t agree that Ram Gopal Varma is trying to bring media (news channels) in the bad picture.
Explains Rajat Kapoor who is playing a bad corporate guy in “Rann’, “RGV is not trying to preach anything to anyone or portraying anyone in bad taste.”
He goes on to add, “‘Rann’ has definitely been made on a backdrop of news channels industry and not on media. It could have been any other industry if not media.”
When asked, if RGV has gone into realistic kind of cinema like Madhur Bhandarkar, he signs off with a chuckle, “No, “Rann’ is not Madhur Bhandarkar but RGV kind of cinema.”
