Rang Rasiya Fails To Get A Buyer!

October 19, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Director Ketan Mehta is not finding any potential buyer for his movie ‘Rang Rasiya’, which is based on the life of painter Raja Ravi
Verma. The film has been produced by Ketan’s wife Deepa Sahi and Anand Mahendroo.
Rang Rasiya starring Nandana Sen and Randeep Hooda in the lead roles, has failed to attract buyers. The lead actress has even done a topless scene in the movie but even that could not sell the movie. This has rather increased the wary of the buyers.
A friend of the filmmaker was quoted saying that Ketan has been discussing with different firms for quite some time now but no one has expressed interest in buying the film and release it. So, Mehta was left with just one option - to release the movie himself. In fact, Mehta has started his own distribution company recently.
The friend added that Rang Rasiya is a very costly film and Mehta did not get the amount, the movie deserved. Mehta has confirmed the news that he is releasing the film himself.
Actors like Jim Boeven, Tom Alter, Gaurav Dwivedi, Paresh Rawal, Vipin Sharma, Suhasini Mulay, Sachin Khedekar, Darshan Jariwala, Sameer Dharmadhikari and Rachna Shah are playing important roles in the film.
