Indianapolis, March 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Collin Raye along with Randy Travis are both up for a noble cause. Terri Schiavo, whose death reaches it’s fifth anniversary, will be remembered through the concert that is due to be held at the Murat Theatre in Indianapolis April 11, 2010. The funds thus raised from the show will be handed over to the Terri Schiavo benefit foundation.
The show is called “Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Concert” and is an effort brought to effect by Terri Schiavo’s younger brother Bobby Schindler. Randy Travis, whose name doesn’t require any introduction is regarded to be one of the finest country singers who has 6 Grammy Awards, 10 American Music Awards along with another 9 Academy of Country Music Awards to his credit. He has been involved with the whole process from its very inception and is looking forward to bring the very best out of the benefit concert.
The Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation aims at lending a hand to all those who are physically invalid or are suffering from life threatening diseases. Terri Schiavo was affected by a major cardiac problem that made her brain go through severe ravages, thus rendering her to be absolutely motionless for years. The court had carried out the order to remove her feeding tube in 2005, which eventually brought about her death. Her family had been trying to put up protests against the court orders which was in terms with her husbands approval, as Micheal Schiavo had the sole guardian rights over his wife. Regrettably, the autopsy results that came out after two weeks of her death declared that Terri Schiavo still had a strong heart and she could have survived for 10 years with proper care and treatment.
