Dec.27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American actor Randy Quaid has been hitting headlines for quite some time now but for all the wrong reasons. The actor was taken into custody last weekend, a day after his wife was arrested after the couple did not appear for a court hearing with regard to a hotel bill dispute. Reportedly, this was the fifth consecutive time that they had stayed away from the court proceedings, which resulted in bench warrants being issued against the celebrity couple.

The 59 year old actor and his wife Evi found themselves amidst legal troubles after they allegedly failed to pay a hotel bill amounting to $10,000 at the San Ysidro Ranch based in Santa Barbara, California few months ago. This led to a lawsuit being filed against the couple, although they have denied the charges and have pleaded not guilty in the subsequent court hearings. Robert Sanger, the attorney representing the couple has added that they did not use an invalid credit card and have already paid the necessary amount to the luxury hotel. Meanwhile, the couple have brushed away the allegations against them and have emphasized that entire incident was blown out of proportion by the media.

At the same time, the reputed actor and his wife, who face multiple charges, have been released on bail. However, the couple do not seem to be getting much perturbed with the legal troubles as they supposedly have gone for a vacation. Reportedly, the couple were spotted assembling their belongings in the car and heading out of town. The couple have been away from the town for quite some time and had returned just before they were taken into custody.
