Randy Quaid And Wife Arrested After Making Court Appearance

Los Angeles, Apr 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The star of such iconic movies as “Independence Day and “Brokeback Mountain”,” Randy Quaid was arrested on Monday, along with his wife Evi. The couple was placed under arrest after showing up at the Santa Barbara court. The celebrity couple were jailed for few hours after the officials remanded them.
Appears that the judge wasn’t all that pleased with twain for missing out on past court summons, when they had failed to make an appearance in the court. After turning up in court on Monday, they had most probably believed that Superior Court Judge Frank Ochoa be in a forgiving mood after seeing them in the court premises finally and pardon their earlier misdemeanors.
However, that did not turn out to be the case and the celebrity duo were in for some tough time. According to Senior Deputy District Attorney Arnie Tolks, Judge Ochoa had taken offense to the couple’s missing out on the earlier court dates and found them disrespectful towards the court. The recent court hearing that the Hollywood actor and his wife ave a slip on was on April 12. They were later released after they paid up a bond tuning to the amount of nearly $ 100,000. They are also due to make an appearance this Wednesday, at the court.
The actor and his wife gained notoriety after it was reported that they had put up in an inn in California but failed to the make the subsequent payment for their lodging: an incident that was brought to light last year in the month of September.
