Randy Jackson Not Included In Jackson’s Reality Show

Dec 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The A&E reality show that began airing yesterday, Dec. 13, is about the band “Jackson 5″, the one that turned into a craze in the 1970s. Entitled “The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty”, the show traces the journey of the five brothers as they struggle to make a comeback in the American music scene. The show is closely followed by the decision of the brothers to embark on a world tour, but with a different name, the “Jackson 4.” The reality series has admittedly been more of a therapy for the brothers, some of whom got to spend so much time together for the first time in many years. Unfortunately, it has not been so for Randy Jackson.
Randy Jackson, the fifth brother who joined after Jermaine Jackson quit the band, has not been included in the show. The decision had been taken as the show traces the attempts of the four brothers to reconstruct and revive the band as it had been originally, that is, to present the band to the audience with its original members.
Although he has not been included in the format of the show as a member of the cast, Randy Jackson has been scheduled to be present in one of the six episodes during which the reality series will be aired. If this can be taken as a sort of bad news for the fifth brother, then this month has been an unlucky one for him. More so if the claims made by his sibling Tito Jackson is to be taken into account, who said that the call from “American Idol” had mistakenly gone to Randy Jackson, the music producer, instead of his brother.

This is not Michael Jackson’s brother, and it is upsetting to me that the “other” Randy Jackson’s picture is posted here when the complete article, accept for the last sentence, is about the “brother” of the Jacksons. I see it on other sites who don’t seem to realize it is not the same Randy. It is careless, and makes no sense to me.

Another bit of a technicality:
Randy Jackson (the correct one) was never a member of the Jackson 5. Jermaine quit the group when the family made the decision to leave Motown Records, as he was Berry Gordy’s son-in-law at the time, and, moreover, the name “The Jackson 5″ is owned by Motown, and the band couldn’t retain it upon going to Epic Records. Randy, then, was a member of THE JACKSONS, which is legally a different band altogether from the Jackson 5, of which, as I mentioned above, Randy Jackson was never a member but Jermaine was.

This is not Michael Jackson brother Randy..Randy has an bald head and was one of the brothers shown as pallbearer at the memorial..Maybe Randy isnt on the show due to Jermaine married Randy ex wife shortly after they divorce this may have caused a riff

This is why we have to do our research to get our understanding. Not everything written/published is true. In this day in time where you blog and be called a blogger we must check the facts. It is poor writing when the purpose of the image is not introduced until the end. Basic composition 101 a conclusion should not introduce a new subject. Sad, sad!

This reality show is a joke. Now you can see why mj left the group so young. The talent was with mj, not the jackson family. These guys are an embarrasment to mj. They could have done this recording thing for the last 35 yrs. why did they have to wait till mj died? mj doesn’t need his brothers to keep him alive, we will do that. The boys need to realize that Michael was the talented one. Not everyone has the gift.

the show is a joke. i watched it one time and i pick up on a lie,they had showed the date june 22,or the 23 that the brothers were in the studio recording.but when michael died they showed marlon @ the airport and was said in interviews that its been awhile since he been home.SO WHATS THE DEAL? and their jackie son was very rude to his uncle jermanine. i hope that part was a lie too. because that didnt make them look to good. R.I.P MJ we ur fans will keep u alive because we LOVE U. not for money cause we been broke for the last 20-25 years.LOL:}

Ok, Here’s the reality. Michael ackson has 5 brothers. Jackie, tito, jermaine, marlon and RANDY.
The Randy Jackson who hosts and produces Idol, is indeed not Michael’s brother. Same name, different guy, no relation to mj. Randy did join the Jackson 5 later as MJ did, because he was the youngest. You can read all of this and more in Michael’s book (Moonwalk) written by MJ himself. All fact, no fiction! So there you go MJ fans’s.

First of all, TWO of the brothers left the group - Jermaine (Jackson 5) in the ’70s & Marlon (The Jackson’s) in the ’80s. They’ve both since re-joined. Jackie, Tito, Randy & Michael NEVER left the group & The Jackson’s NEVER split up. Michael simply went solo but maintained that he would NEVER leave The Jackson’s & he didn’t. Michael fully supported this documentary as did Randy (who was an unnofficial member of Jackson 5 since 1972). They both CHOSE not to be a part of it. Michael was in contact with ALL of his family at the time of his death as is Randy. The brother’s were under contract so decided to continue with the documentary after a time to grieve. I am sick of them being bashed no matter what they do. I can’t believe people say they’re not talented?? The remaining Jackson brother’s may not have been in the same league as Michael, but who was? To say they don’t have talent for that reason alone is ridiculous & Michael HATED people saying that. All of them can sing, dance, produce, compose, play, write their own lyrics. They ARE talented. Randy worked with Michael on his ‘Off The Wall’ album. They ALL worked their asses off as kids, then as adults, they ALL love & support eachother & they deserve every success. If you think the show is a joke then why did you watch it? Come to that matter, why did you go write not one but two comments on this page about them?!! Also, ”the last 35 years” I don’t know what you’re talking about and obviously you don’t either. It was 1975 35 years ago…they were still internationally famous as group then! Michael is a record breaker, but so are The Jackson’s. They’ve done lots of things like this in the past. I think you’re disgusting for implying they did this to cash in on MJs death & Michael would hate you for it. I suggest you know your facts and do your research before deciding to give Jackson fans the 411 in BS. HATER.

This is a picture of Randy Jackson of American Idol; not Randy Jackson of the Jacksons. If you can’t trust this person who posted this story to even get the picture right; how can you trust anything that they publish. Whoever this Madhuri Dey person is, he/she don’t know what the heck he/she is doing.This is a prime example of why you can’t believe everything that you read/see on the Internet.

I am just now watching the show and all of the episodes and I must say that I love it. These men are handsome, well spoken (softspoken), down to earth, and seem to possess great character. They have relationships with their children and the brothers are really close and share a strong bond. I really wish people had taken to the show more. The show had already begun shooting before Michael’s death. These men are not trying to make money off of their brother. They started the whole Jackson thing together. So people calm the noise down. They are truly following their passion and desperately trying to work together and keep their brother’s and the Jackson’s legacy alive. I love it…
