July 13, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): At the age of 78 years, veteran Shammi Kapoor is still able to match steps with his 27 year old grandson actor Ranbir Kapoor, with whom he shot in Delhi recently beating the hot summer. The Kapoors were shooting for their movie Rockstar, which is directed by Imtiaz Ali.

In this hot summer, when football fever is at its peak, Ranbir Kapoor took up the challenge to beat the heat of Delhi and went out shooting for Rockstar. Ranbir along with the crew members went out all over the city with ease to shoot at different locales for the movie. In South Delhi, at the Hauz Khas Qila, the first few portions of the film were shot.

Wearing a short black kurta and tattered jeans, Ranbir was spotted practicing on the jumbo acoustic guitar before the shot. He was reportedly shooting for a song “O Dil’ for the movie.

Confirming the news, a source further informed that the junior Kapoor was in a Noida based news channel for shooting some parts of the film.

With his long hair tied up behind, director Imtiaz Ali was seen busy as usual and instructing his crew about the shots as per his plans.

In the last few days, the unit has reportedly finished shooting a few sequences at pubs and bars in Delhi. The shooting was finished in a hurry to avoid much attention.

Shammi Kapoor is having a cameo role in the film.
