New Delhi, Oct 19 (IANS) Ranbir Kapoor took time out from his professional commitments to meet the Indian Army soldiers who guard the borders, jumping at the opportunity to travel to Nahan in Himachal Pradesh.

Ranbir spent the day with the soldiers and even got a first-hand look at the challenges they fface and training they undergo, when he visited them for NDTV’s “Jai Jawaan” episode earlier this month.

Apart from sharing a meal with them and entertaining them, Ranbir participated in some firing practice, followed by rock climbing and rappelling. He also played a rugby match with the soldiers.

SRK’s craziest fan is called FRK!

Farooque Khan or FRK comes from a family obsessed with Shah Rukh Khan. The family is so gaga over the superstar that Farooque’s sister was even named Shah Rukh Khan.

Farooque is the name given to the young girl by her father, but her friends lovingly call her FRK.

Born and brought up in Panchgani, Farooque will feature in UTV Stars’ “Live My Life”.

She even left her job to meet the actor and live his life for a day for the TV show. But guess what - King Khan offered her a job in his own company!

“Farooque left her job to come and shoot for the show and when she met SRK, she said that she was fired. So he made a proposal to her boss asking him to hire her back, or else he will get her a job in his own company,” said a source from the sets.

The episode featuring Farooque will be aired Saturday.

Salman’s “Dabangg” style inspires Virender Sehwag

Remember how Salman Khan kept his sunglasses behind his shirt collar in blockbuster “Dabangg”? Cricketer Virender Sehwag copied the style at a recent event.

The cricketer was at the NDTV Indian of the Year award ceremony in the capital Tuesday when he made the style statement.

His sunglasses, which were tucked behind, were visible from a distance when he went up the stage with his team members to receive the India’s Heroes award at the event.

No wonder Bollywood inspires fashion in the country!
