Rajadhyaksha’s death a big loss: Fashion world

New Delhi, Sep 13 (IANS) Fashion designer Arpan Vohra remembers ace fashion photographer Gautam Rajadhyaksha, who passed away Tuesday, as an individual who was blessed with the magical touch, while others have termed his death a big loss to the fashion world.
“Sad to know that such an ace photographer is no more with us. Grown up seeing his work in glossy magazines and movie still. He definitely had some magical click in his fingers that made each photograph seem alive. His fabulous clicks of Aishwarya Rai made millions fall in love with her. We will miss such a well acclaimed humble human being and his work always,” Arpan Vohra told IANS.
Rajadhyaksha, 61, died following a massive heart attack in Mumbai.
Kunal Rawal: The fashion industry lost a tremendously talented photographer today. His contribution to the industry will be admired and respected for posterity.
Jatin Kochhar: I am at a complete loss of words. I have been a big admirer of his work ever since I was a kid especially all the shots he took of veteran actress Rekha. May lord bless his soul. We will miss him.
Farah Khan Ali: Lost a Friend and a great human being today. Someone who captured moments and memories. RIP Gautam Rajadhyaksha. You will be missed.
Puja Arya: He is the man who introduced another level of photography with his technicalities and approach. I salute him for his contribution.
Nachiket Barve: I met him in person and grown up seeing his work. He was the kind of person who knew how to give a different view to a single image. He was an icon and he will be always remain like that for next generation.
Ambika Pillai: Losing a pioneer in this field is a massive loss. I remember him as being soft spoken, very humble and a concerned human being.
Joy Mitra: An epitome in the world of Photography. RIP Gautam Rajadhyaksha.
Neelanjan Ghosh: A loss for glamour world surely.
Niket Mishra: He was one of the pioneer and inspiring person. One of the renowned photographers. May his soul rest in peace.
Lubna Adamas: That’s terrible news. He was a very sweet guy with a lot heart. May God let his soul rest in peace.
Poonam Bhagat: He took reality and turned it into an illusion - both beautiful and elusive. His subjects acquired an ethereal quality when seen through his lens. He acquired an ethereal quality when seen though his lens. He was still young and shall be missed.
Lovell Prabhu: He was a great photographer and will remember him for his exceptional work.
Shy Kalra: He was a lovely person who has a great sense of humour and and eye for details. He created magic with lighting and made everyone look and feel beautiful. May his soul rest in peace.
Anand Kabra: I wasn’t fortunate enough to meet him, however, I will always remember his work as my introduction to the world of style and glamour. I can never forget the softnees, cleanliness and sublte glamour of his portraits.
Varija Bajaj felt that inspite of mourning his death, “we should cherish his contribution to the world of photography. I am hopeful that youngsters will learn from his work in coming days.”
“He will be missed as a guy and as a trendsetter in photography. His contribution to this industry will still continue to teach the younger lot.”
