“Off to delhi. Will be in and out of the city over the next fortnight. Want to catch the athletics, rugby etc. Rugby will be sensational. The very best teams in the world are playing - New Zealand, South Africa, England,” Rahul posted on his Twitter page.
CWG will be held in the capital Oct 3-14.
The 43-year-old was a part of the first Indian national rugby team and played for the country at the Asian Rugby Football Union Championship in 1998.
He also commented on Delhi traffic, saying: “For a Bombayite the like-never-before traffic congested roads of Delhi are wonderfully comforting. Bumper to bumper and we feel at home.”
