muslimLos Angeles, Apr 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The creators of satirical cartoon “South Park” have angered a radical U.S. Muslim group that has taken offense of the “South Park” depiction of Prophet Mohammad in a bear costume during a recent episode. The New York-based Revolution Muslim has reportedly posted in its website a statement in which the author mentioned that the two creators of the “South Park” Matt Stone and Trey Parker would “probably” meet the same end for satirizing Prophet Mohammad as the slain Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh. Theo van Gogh was killed by a Muslim extremist group in 2004.

In the statement, the group has allegedly mentioned that the act that the creators of “South Park” have done is stupid adding at the same time that the statement is not a threat but a warning of the “reality that will likely happen to them”. A media source revealed that the post bore the address of the production house of the “South Park” creators in Los Angeles.

Though the website of the Revolution Muslim group remained unavailable throughout Wednesday, some media reports claim that the radical group has issued a “call to protest”. According to one media source, the group wants that all those people who are offended by the depiction of Prophet Mohammad in “South Park” should voice their protest through letters to the creators of the show. However, this is not for the first time that “South Park” has faced protest from any religious sect for its lampoon of the religion. During its tenure of 13 years, “South Park” has lampooned many religions.
