Rachael Ray Today’s show opens with “Rachel Ray” showing us how to make “Pizza Pretzels”. To make these snacks, which looked quite yummy by the way, simply roll out your store bought pizza dough in an elongated rectangle, and brush with egg-wash. Fill this with cheese, basil, pepperoni, or whatever pizza topping you like. Close and seal this rolling it into a long tube. Now, twist this tube into a pretzel shape, brush with the rest of the egg, sprinkle with coarse salt, and bake in the oven at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes. I thought this would make a great “Football Season” snack, or “Holiday Snack Tray” food. I, for one, intend on trying this recipe.

Rachel Ray then announced the beginning of the “Human Lab” part of the show. Several different products were tested at home by different people, and they came on today’s show to give the results. The first one was called “Fasta Pasta”. It ’s purpose was to  cook pasta in half the time, but did it work? Well, the pasta was placed into the plastic container, and put into the microwave for 10 minutes. When taken out, it was just right. This product seemed great for making pasta for a small family, but, as Rachel noted, if you had a large amount of company coming, you’d still have to bring out the “big pots”.

Next, The Rachel Ray Show featured a product called “The Eggstractor” Egg Peeler, designed to easily peel boiled eggs. It worked very well with white eggs, but did not really work with brown. It was named well worth buying since it retails at only $7.99.

The third product testing that was shown today was the “Instant Peel Gloves”, which were designed to peel vegetables. These were a little large and clumsy, but were excellent at peeling potatoes and yams, not so good at carrots, as the vegetables have to be boiled before they can be peeled, which turned the carrots into mush.

The next part of today’s “Rachel Ray” show focused on “Jillian Michaels” from “The Biggest Loser”. She explained how the last week of the show is so important to the contestants, that they keep the strength they have gained throughout the experience. When “Rachel Ray” asked her how she knew exactly how to plan a program for someone 400 pounds or more, without overdoing it and killing them, Jillian explained how she has many years of experience, and knows what signs to look for. They featured Jillian Michaels’ QuickStart dietary supplements, and gave them away on the show. Online audience members can also enter for a chance to win a start-up packet at rachelrayshow.com.

Jillian also showed a few exercises which can be done to strengthen muscles using only two chairs and a broom handle. She did stress, however, that for weight loss to occur, you need more than strength training, and must add some cardio workout in your plan.

Jessica Stroup” from “90210″ was another guest on today’s “Rachel Ray Show”. She spoke of how tabloids and paparazzi are just a part of life, and do not effect her as much as the other girls from the show. She did say, however, that being from North Carolina, it all was very weird for her and took some getting used to. “Some days” she said, “I just want to take a quiet walk on the beach.” She played a new game “How Well Do You Know Your Co-star” and did quite well. with Rachel’s help. The audience received the entire first season of 90210 on video.

Finally, this segment’s “What’s For Dinner” featured a delicious looking “Rosemary Chicken and Potatoes”. It was quite simple to cook, and looked absolutely mouth watering. For the complete recipe, along with video bits from the show, go to http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/
