Rachel McAdams struggles to balance celeb lifestyle with “green guilt”
December 17th, 2009 - 2:21 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )London, December 17 (ANI): Rachel McAdams has confessed she suffers from the guilt of living a luxurious life, when she thinks of the planet’s environmental decline.
The Notebook actress even sticks to using things she already has instead of buying new ones in a bid to refrain from material things.
“I don’t really desire things. I prefer to spend my money on experiences, on meals or travel,” the Daily Star quoted her as telling Vogue magazine.
She added: “I look at the world through a green lens now, but you can’t make yourself crazy. That feeling of green guilt can be really inhibiting.
“It’s about a changing mind-set, remembering to turn off the water when you are brushing your teeth.” (ANI)
