Rachel McAdams denies having role in ‘Spider-Man 4′
November 19th, 2009 - 1:15 am ICT by IANSNew York, Nov 18 (IANS) Actress Rachel McAdams has laughed off rumours that she is set to star in the fourth instalment of the “Spider-Man” franchise.
“Spider-Man 4″ is said to feature comic book villainess the Black Cat, who is the costumed alter-ego of the protagonist Peter Parker’s latest love interest, Felicia Hardy.
Reports sparked speculation that McAdams, who starred in “The Notebook”, was in line to tackle the feline role, but she has shot down the gossip, reports hollywoodinsider.ew.com.
“That’s a total rumour, I have to say. I was hanging out in Toronto the other day and someone came up to me and said, I just heard you’re doing ‘Spider-Man 4′. And I said, Really? No one told me!’ It’s not true,” she said.
Starring Tobey Maguire in the lead, the fourth instalment is due for release in 2011.
