Rachel Maddow, a 33 year-old host of the Air America radio and perma-filler-in-er at MSNBC, after she has made numerous appearances is now getting her own show during prime-time lineup on MSNBC network.
Dan Abrams is being retired from his MBSC 9 p.m. slot as early as Thursday, replaced by a new show of Rachel Maddow. However, Abrams who hosts ‘Verdict’ will serve as a daytime anchor and continues to serve as their Chief Legal Correspondent and a substitute host on NBC’s “Weekend Today” show.
Abrams, a longtime host and one-time general manager of the network, will anchor his last show Thursday.
Maddow’s show will follow Keith Olbermann’s Countdown at 9:00 PM eastern, which she used to be a frequent guest host. However Olbermann gets a little upset she has to find another guest host for her show . But Olbermann said she is happy Maddow finally gets her own program.
The show is set to begin on September 8, batting clean-up for Olbermann.
