New York, June 14 (ANI): A Chicago jury has acquitted R&B star R Kelly of all 14 charges of child pornography against him.

The verdict has finally ended the six-year saga for the mega-popular singer that threatened to land him in prison for 15 years, reports the New York Daily News.

The singer was accused of taping himself having sex with a woman the prosecution claims was as young as 13.

The case went to jurors on June 12 after three weeks of witness testimony.

The key witness was a woman who said she participated in a menage-a-trois with Kelly and the alleged victim.

Ultimately, the jury was more swayed by defense attorney Sam Adam Jr.’s argument that the two people seen having sex on the tape are not who prosecutors say they are.

Kelly was visibly overjoyed after the foreman of the Chicago jury read the verdict.

The Grammy Award winning artist is best known for his hits “I Believe I Can Fly” and “Bump N’ Grind.” (ANI)
