Quentin Tarantino’s Oscar-Nominated Editor Sally Menke Found Dead

Sep 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Sally Menke, the Academy Award nominated film editor was found dead in Los Angeles on Tuesday, the emergency services declared the news to the media. Quentin Tarantino’s editor went out for a hiking yesterday, which was recorded as the hottest day in Los Angeles. Sally Menke was the long time film editor of Quentin Tarantino and she was 56 years old.
A reputed media source reported that Sally Menke and one of her friends set out to hike a trail at around 9 am on Monday morning and about an hour later her friend decided to come back. The film editor and her dog carried on with their hiking. However, the friends and family members informed local authorities when she did not return home for a long time. A search party, which included a helicopter, dogs and also officers from patrol units, were sent to the location. The emergency services found her body at 2 a.m. near the 5600 block of Green Oak Drive in Bronson Canyon. Her dog was found unharmed near her body. The law enforcement officials planned an autopsy of the film editor today.
The police is still investigating about the cause of the death but the media is presently speculating that may be she suffered complications while hiking in the tremendous heat in Los Angeles weather which resulted in her death. However, the police said that they have seen no sign of foul play in the scene. Wylie Stateman, sound editor on several Quentin Tarantino’s movies said that the American film director is going to be “devastated” and they shared a very amicable relationship. Sally Menke’s family was not available for comments.
