Queen to release new single to mark World Aids Day
November 30th, 2007 - 6:44 pm ICT by adminLondon, November 30 (ANI): Rock band Queen have announced that they are releasing a new song to mark World Aids Day on 1 December.
Say It’s Not True will be the bands first song in 10 years.
The groups frontman Paul Rodgers has revealed the song will be released directly on the Internet for free downloads on Saturday.
Band member Roger Taylor has written the song.
“By making the song available for free, we hope to help Nelson Mandela with his campaign to get across the message that no-one is safe from infection. We have to be aware, we have to protect ourselves and those we love, the Daily Snack quoted Taylor as saying.
“The song follows the line of Mr. Mandela’s personal message ‘It’s in our own hands to bring a stop to this’,” he added.
Queen last reunited in 1997, when they recorded No-One But You as a tribute to the groups former frontman Freddie Mercury. (ANI)
