Britney Spears, a 26 year-old American pop star triumphed at the night of the MTV Awards for the best musical videos of the year, and won all the awards that she had been in the running for. Her “Piece of Me”, won the Best Musical Video, Best Female Video and Best Pop Video awards. She has come back successfully and she rising again.
Spears appeared on stage to a standing ovation as her hit 1998 single “Baby One More Time” blasted through the auditorium on the Paramount Pictures Studio Lot in Los Angeles.
Wearing a glittering silver dress and her hair in soft blond waves, she posed for photos with her three trophies for her song “Piece of Me”, accompanied by manager Larry Rudolph.
After accepting the the shiny Moonman statue for video of the year at the end of the night. She said only few sentences
“Wow, thank you, I’m in shock right now. I was not expecting this,”
“This is such an honour to have this award right now.” and “thank you for all the love” added she
Her comedic co-star for the night, Hill regarded Spear that she is “a really great person” while Paris Hilton, who presented Spears with an award, said to her: “I love you. I miss you. And it’s so good to see you.”
Over a decade as an international pop star Britney Spear, 16 previous nominations and a long history with the awards – including another controversial appearance in 2003 during which she kissed Madonna on-stage – today was the first time Britney had actually won.
