‘Quantum of Solace’ breaks box office records in Britain

London, Nov 2 (IANS) Hollywood actor Daniel Craig’s latest outing as James Bond in “Quantum Of Solace” has broken UK box-office records.The movie raked in 4.9 million pounds in ticket sales on its opening day and shattered the previous record for a Friday opening held by “Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire”, which took 4 million pounds, reports dailymail.co.uk.
The numbers that flocked to the 22nd Bond film also dwarfed the opening day figures of its predecessor, “Casino Royale” that made 2.9 million pounds on its first day.
Directed by Marc Foster, other actors in the film includes Mathieu Amalric, Olga Kurylenko, Gemma Arterton, Judi Dench, Jeffrey Wright and Giancarlo Giannini.
