Quaids released from detention in Vancouver
October 28th, 2010 - 6:33 pm ICT by ANIToronto, Oct 28 (ANI): Oscar-nominated actor Randy Quaid along with his wife has been released from detention in Vancouver.
The Canada Border Services Agency announced the release of the couple in a statement.
They were released from detention as they seek to become refugees in Canada to escape, they claim, the possibility of being murdered in Hollywood, reports the Globe and Mail.
The agency said it has withdrawn a request for an admissibility hearing for Evi Quaid because she is a “prima facie Canadian Citizen,” and that she has received an unconditional release.
The Quaids had been in custody since their arrest in Vancouver on Oct. 21 on outstanding arrest warrants. (ANI)
