Feb 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Like every year, the Animal Planet is all set to air its own version of Super Bowl. However, they do not include human players in jerseys and helmets, but give an opportunity to the puppies to display their sporty and adorable moves. The Puppy Bowl season VII is all set to air on February 6 at 3 p.m.

These puppies would be playing with soft foam balls instead of those heavy leather balls. However, that does not mean that the rules and regulation of the game would be different. They would have their own share of fumbles, touch downs, interception, tackles and every law that is a pre-requisite for football. The most exciting part would perhaps be the reported chicken cheerleaders. There would be provision for water and food for these puppies, so that the tired ones can resort to some refreshments after and during a tiring match. Marjorie Kaplan, the president and general manager of Animal Planet said that these cute puppies can tear open ones heart and one cannot imagine how adorable they are. Andrew Schechter, the puppy referee said that it would be like an eye candy, and one would just love the puppy bowl.

However, the show is not just about entertainment. It promotes the cause of animal shelters and adoption. Most of these puppies are from animal shelter and the event will state about the adoption procedures of these animals from their adobe. Executive Producer Melinda Toporoff said that they want to call for adoption through these event, by spreading awareness about animal adoption. She said that she wants to get more puppies adopted through this cute and adorable sports events.
