Pugaipadam- A film becomes reality

The story behind the runaway success of the cult film “The Shawshank Redemption’ is a famous for its notoriety. Apparently, the film’s producer failed to cover up the production cost when it was released in theaters. But a year later, when two inmates escaped from prison, the same way Tim Robbins did, the film set a record-breaking sales at home video markets.
Apparently, the Tamil film “Pugaipadam’ (photograph) which is ready to hit the screens shortly shares a somewhat similar story. The film is based on the nostalgic memories of friends as they travel down the memory lane. “Pugaipadam’ has actors from various states and backdrop. Now after the film’s completion, they’ve come closer in real life.
Debutant filmmaker Rajesh Lingam admits, “These actors were from different places and they felt the essence of real friendship with the characters they’ve performed. Now, it really makes me feel great that these guys have become acquainted with each other.”
Perhaps, we would’ve seen many films being publicized as Based on True Story. But things are completely different here.
