Michael Jackson London, January 09 (ANI): Israeli British TV personality Uri Geller has sued CNN after the channel interviewed late singer Michael Jackson’s dermatologist who alleged that the psychic entertainer had profited from a documentary on the King of Pop.

Geller claims that he has been hit with an online hate campaign following the Larry King show, on which Arnold Klein said that Geller had “sold Michael Jackson” to ITV for 200,000 dollars.

However, Geller insists that he has made no money from the controversial documentary of the pop star’s life fronted by Martin Bashir.

Now, Paul Tweed, Geller’s solicitor, has written to CNN in Atlanta asking compensation.

“During the course of the interview Dr Klein made a number of false and grossly defamatory allegations about our client … that he cynically exploited his friendship with Michael Jackson for personal financial gain,” the Independent quoted him as stating.

He added: “For the avoidance of doubt, we would make it clear our client was not enriched in any way as a result of the Michael Jackson/Martin Bashir interview.

“Any monetary consideration our client received as a result of the introduction that he made in good faith between Martin Bashir and Michael Jackson was donated to charity in its entirety.

“The arrangement for all proceeds to go to charity had been firmly made prior to the programme being aired.”

However, the documentary will be aired on 16 July on ITV1. (ANI)

Don’t you think people are growing weary of the slander, salacious,& self serving fabrications made about MJ? What is there to be gained by all of this. MJ was a good man, the world is a better place for him having been in it for a short time. I never understood the media feeding frenzy on people. They have lost track of the incidents that really matter in the world. I developed a really low opinion of Dr. Klein and his associates, it appears they attached themselves to Michael for 15 min. of fame & what financial gain they could gleen from it. Then they called themselves his “friends”. No wonder MJ felt so lonely. I watched Uri’s TV clip last year, he came off again as someone who exploited an association with MJ. If this guy was so psyhic, why didn’t he fore see MJ’s passing at the hands of an incompetent & greedy doctor? If one steps back to take an overall look at the prescription drug addiction, & MJ’s attitude toward illict street drugs; it’s the doctor’s that were the pushers. From personal experience, I know that it is easier to write a perscription, than to really treat the patient for what ails them. This is the truth “behind the mask” Greed, neglect, & phycological isolation is what killed MJ. This was heaped upon MJ by his closest associates, friends, & even some family. May MJ finally rest in peace.
