paul Sep 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The producers who work at NBC on the television show ‘The Office’ have told ‘E!Online’ that they hope to bring in Harvey Keitel in soon, since they are losing Steve Carell. According to one of the show’s producers, Paul Lieberstein, Keitel is “the only choice which makes any sense” to him.

“[Harvey Keitel]’s probably the only guy who can do it,” Lieberstein stated. “I haven’t started any talks with his people, but Harvey would do a great job — a very different energy.” He also feels that Keitel would give the show a rough and funny edge, and his personality would help clear the essence of Carrel’s beloved character from the show.

“We don’t want to bring in another Michael, having someone play a very similar character because we have such a high regard for Steve,” Lieberstein said, adding that he feels Keitel is not appreciated for his brilliance, “I saw him in ‘Life on Mars’ and I saw a lot more comedy in his work.”

‘The Office’ is entering is seventh season, and both Steve Carell and Michale Scott will be leaving the show. The producers are determined that “The Show Must Go On.”
