Priyanka Of Veyil Fame To Star With Upendra In A Kannada Film
June 28th, 2010 - 12:41 pm ICT by Sampurn WireJune 28, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): South Indian actress Priyanka, who came into the limelight with the Tamil film Veyyil in 2006, is going to star opposite Kannada Super star, Upendra.
Earlier, the actress was approached for another Kannada film Milana opposite Puneeth Rajkumar, but she could not accept the film for date issues.
Veyil was the first Tamil film which was screened at the Cannes as part of the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.
Priyanka is now shooting for another Tamil film Kizhake Mann. The award winning actress likes to be a part of offbeat films and her priority is always her role. In Veyil, she played the love interest of actor Pasupathy.
Before coming to acting, Priyanka wanted to become a physics lecturer and never thought of becoming an actress. She was introduced in Veyil by Alaggapan, the director cum camera person. Since then, she has been just looking ahead to many interesting roles.
Priyanka said that she has grown up idolizing the roles performed by great actresses like Revathy, Urvashi, Suhasini, Radhika and Shobana.
