Priyanka Chopra To Be The Nation’s Green Ambassador

August 10, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): As per the latest news, the Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has decided to be the nationwide green ambassador so as to kick off several eco-friendly campaigns in India. This information has been revealed by the Environment and Forests Minister Jairam Ramesh.
Mr.Ramesh says that he has been speaking to Priyanka regarding several environment-riendly campaigns, which would take place on a national basis. There are projects like tiger conservation as well as river cleaning. Priyanka has given her consent to carry out such projects further.
The actress is, at present, the green ambassador for an environment campaign kicked by Greenathon. She was also there to announce Green Awards. Thus we can see, she has plunged into the eco-friendly activities.
She said that it feels great to be the national green ambassador. Other personalities present at the show, included Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) chief RK Pachauri, Prannoy Roy and several officials from Toyota.
