Princess Protection ProgramAfter giving us some of the most successful television movie hits like the High School Musical 2 and Camp Rock among the others, the Disney Channel is offering its viewers another fascinating flick, “The Princess Protection Program” that was released on the June 26. There will also be a program on it in the Disney channel itself tonight at 8/7C.

Belonging to the comedy family genre, this movie, as the name suggests, revolves round the protection provided to the princess Rosalinda who is soon to become the queen of the country Costa Luna. The princess protection program is a royal family funded secret organization that is bestowed with the duty of protecting the new princess from the evil dictator who has invaded Costa Luna. Her protector Is Mason whose daughter Carter and princess Rosalind become friends soon, which helps Carter to realize the princess inside her and makes Rosalind feel like a normal American girl besides being the princess. The film ends with Rosalind being successfully protected to sit on the throne as queen of Costa Luna.

The cast includes Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez playing Rosalind and Carter respectively while Mason is played by Tom Verica. The story is written by Annie De Young who has written TV flicks “Princess William” and “Return of Halloweentown” besides others. The director is Allison Liddo whose works include CSI: Miami and Gossip Girl of 2009.

With such a talented crew and production house, it can be easily anticipated that this new flick may equal or outdo the success of High School Musical.
