Princess Diana’s dress fetches $816,000

London, June 26 (IANS) A designer dress worn by Princess Diana has been sold for $816,000 at an auction.
The navy blue velvet dress created by Victor Edelstein fetched the highest price among 14 of her gowns, which were auctioned in Toronto, Canada.
The Princess of Wales wore the off-shoulder costume at a 1985 White House event, where she danced with Hollywood actor John Travolta, reports contactmusic.com.
Her cream silk gown, which she wore on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine, sold for approximately $256,000.
