Previously unpublished photo shows Monroe on the cusp of stardom
January 3rd, 2011 - 5:05 pm ICT by ANILondon, Jan 3 (ANI): A previously unpublished picture that shows Marilyn Monroe on the cusp of stardom has emerged.
The image was taken from a Valentine’s Day promotion in the 1940s, reports the Telegraph.
Then known by her real name of Norma Jeane, she started out as a model after a photographer spotted her working in a Second World War munitions factory.
Later, she changed her name to Marilyn Monroe and went on to become a famous Hollywood actress.
The picture is featured in a new biography, ‘Marilyn Monroe: The Personal Archives’ by Cindy De La Hoz. (ANI)
