Followed by grand success of ‘Kadhalil Vizhundhen’ and ‘Masilamani’, actor Nakulan is all set for the release of his next film ‘Kanda Kottai’. T.T. Raja produces the film under the banner of E.S.K. Productions and AGS Entertainments Kalapathy S Agoram has acquired the rights.
S. Sakthivel, once an associate of filmmakers Radha Mohan and Priya V makes his debut directorial with this film.
Poorna, who shot to fame with her debut film ‘Muniyandi Moondram Aandu Vizhangiyal’ stars opposite Nakulan in female lead. Director Sakthivel ensures that Santhanam’s comedy tracks have offered more substantiality to this film.
The film is about a graduate (Nakulan) on the pursuit of job and he hates love. On the contrary, a beauteous college girl (Poorna) has a strong belief in love. What happens when these distinctive characters come across each other is what we’ll have to wait and watch over the screens.
A grand set of ‘Kanda Kottai’ was erected at Kilpauk Garden located in Central Chennai. According to the sources, producer T.T. Raja had spent half the film’s budget for these sets.
With Dheena scoring music for this film, actor Nakulan himself has crooned a song ‘Eppadi Ennul Kadhal Vandhadhu?’ (How come I fell in love?). 3 songs in this film have been shot across the exotic locations of New Zealand and soon the crew has planned to shoot one more song in a foreign land.
Apart from wielding the megaphone, S. Sakthivel himself has handled story, screenplay and dialogues for this film.
Although producers have planned to release the film by December, trade analysts have suggested that it would be an unfavorable situation, since Vijay’s ‘Vettaikaran’ will have a grand release on December 18.
