Premiere of Kutty Shranku in Montreal
August 4th, 2009 - 6:20 pm ICT by Sampurn WireMammootty’s film Kutty Shranku, is being directed by internationally reputed Shaji N. Karun and is produced by Reliance Entertainment. Under the banner of Big Motion Pictures will be premiered at the Great Film Section of the Montreal International Film Festival 2009, to be held from August 27 to September 7.
The film is set up on a story in the late 50’s where (Mammootty), is shown as a boat driver who runs a cargo service between the sea port of Kodungalloor near Kochi. This man has been married thrice to (Kamalini Mukerjee, Meena Kumari and Padmapriya) and all the three are unaware of each other and only meet after the death of the hero.
This happens to be the first Malayalam production by Anil Ambani’s newly launched Entertainment Company.
