‘Precious’ star Gabourey Sidibe to host SNL

New York City, Apr 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Precious star Gabourey Sidibe is all set to host Saturday Night Live (SNL) soon. There was a Facebook group dedicated to her, which wanted to gather support for her to host SNL, and they have certainly succeeded in their goal. Even though she has landed the hosting duties of SNL, she did fail to make it to the cover of the fashion magazine – Vogue.
According to reports, the fashion community thinks that she is a joke. They also made ample fun of the dress that she wore to the Oscars. According to a source, “She’s a joke in the fashion community. What she wore on the red carpet at the Academy Awards wasn’t a dress, it was a tent. Vogue is the venue where designers debut their best new pieces. All of which are one of a kind and sample size. It would be impossible to get a regular-sized girl in those clothes, let alone Gabby.”
The actual date on when she would host the SNL hasn’t been decided as yet. However some TV analysts think that she is most likely to host the 24th April episode, in which the guests would be MGMT. Apart from this, she is also going to star in ‘The Big C’, in which her co-stars are going to be Laura Linney and Oliver Platt.
