Genelia D’souza has always been projected as a bubbly girl full of energy and prancing around in shorts and jeans. So imagine her dilemma when she had to wear a saree Genelia D’souza and Prachi Desai had to wear sari for a dance sequence in Life Partner.
Prachi Desai has acted in many television serials especially the saas bahu types where one is always dolled up in saree, the whole unit thought she would be a pro at draping saree. But when Prachi came on sets, she was very uncomfortable… so much so that she was tripping while dancing.
On the other hand, Genelia was not only happy wearing saree but also comfortable dancing in them. Talk about perceptions. Laughs Prachi, “Yes, Genelia thought I would be very good at wearing saree since I have worn them for number of times during my TV serial shoot. In fact everybody thought that Genelia would be uncomfortable in saree but when we both came on sets wearing them, she was the one most comfortable and ecstatic with her look. Although I love wearing saree, it was very difficult to handle it during the shoot, especially because we both had to dance wearing them. I am happy that I finally managed” she says.
