Actor- Dance maestro- director Prabhu Deva has proved his mettle as an actor here too but his B –Town directorial debut, ‘Wanted’ has been in the making for long.
‘Wanted’ stars Salman Khan in the lead, with Ayesha Takia as his lady love.
It’s a remake of the Tamil hit ‘Pokiri’ starring Vijay, which in itself was a remake of the Telugu movie of the same name with Magesh Babu in the lead.
The movie produced by Boney Kapoor has veteran actor Vinod Khanna as Salman Khan’s father.
As of now the release of the film coincides with the release of another Khan starrer, “Main Aur Mrs. Khanna’ on July 3 which also has Kareena Kapoor and Preity Zinta.
Prabhu Deva wants his movie to succeed and is launching an aggressive campaign to promote it. The South Indian versions of ‘Wanted’ were blockbusters and therefore Prau Deva could indeed get lucky here too the first time as a director. Let’s wait and watch. -Sampurn Media
