London, December 9 (ANI): Victoria Beckham rushed from Los Angeles to London to comfort her husband David who is mourning the loss of his beloved grandfather Joe West.
The singer-turned-fashion designer reunited with the footie ace who was said to be “inconsolable” after learning about the 83-year-old’s passing away from cancer.
The couple met at the posh Claridge’s Hotel ahead of the family’s private funeral service.
The 34-year-old sportsman paid tribute to Joe at the World Cup draw in South Africa.
“My grandad was very proud of me being a part of this bid to bring the World Cup to England,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying.
“If I had decided to go home, I know what he was like - a strong person from the East End of London - he would have shouted at me for leaving because he was passionate about his country,” he added. (ANI)
