Portia de Rossi Takes Wife Ellen DeGeneres’ Name

Sep 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres were married in California during the brief period of time in 2008 that such a marriage was legal in the state. After battling for the right to so, Portia has finally been given permission by the court to change her name from Portia de Rossi, to Portia DeGeneres.
Portia petitioned the court asking for permission to legally change hr name to Portia Lee James DeGeneres. Her request was granted by the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday, although neither woman showed up for the hearing.
