Apr 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to the New York Observer, Ellen DeGeneres will soon have competition as a writer in the power couple. Ellen’s partner, Portia de Rossi is planning to write a memoir, which is already underway. Atria Books is said to have already signed a deal with Portia to tell her story of the years she spent battling anorexia and bulimia, as the public watched.

Reportedly, William Morris Endeavor’s head is already sending Portia’s proposals out to book editors, which includes a sample of her writing which features her battle with anorexia, which was very highly publicized. The “Ally McBeal” star says that particular battle was the hardest during the shooting of the hit series starring Calista Flockheart. Perhaps Portia is best known for her roles in “Ally McBeal” but she also starred in “Arrested Development” and “Better Off Ted”.

For many, this news is very exciting, as they would love to know more about Portia’s life before she met Ellen. She has made this year’s number 1 in the Hot 100 on afterellen.com. Portia was born Amanda Lee Rogers, and not very much at all is know about her childhood in Australia. She was married to documentary film maker Mel Metcalfe but those years of her life are pretty much a mystery as well.
