Portia De Rossi adopts Ellen DeGeneres’ surname
September 25th, 2010 - 12:35 am ICT by IANSLondon, Sep 24 (IANS) Actress Portia De Rossi has officially adopted the surname of her lesbian partner and TV presenter Ellen DeGeneres.
The Australian actress, born Amanda Lee Rogers, adopted the name Portia de Rossi when she first became a model, years before arriving in Hollywood.
A Los Angeles judge granted the actress official permission to change her name Thursday, reports dailystar.co.uk.
She’ll now be known as Portia Lee James DeGeneres. The actress married comedienne-turned-TV personality DeGeneres in 2008.
