Ponnambalam Is All Set To Direct And Produce A Film

May 31, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Many of the actors today are stepping into the field of production and direction. While in Bollywood, one of our prominent Khans, Aamir Khan has donned the hat of both a director as well as a producer, down south Prakash Raj has done the same. And now, a new member is set to join this ever increasing group; villain artist Ponnabalam.
Reportedly, Ponnambalam, who has entertained us with his negative roles, is now all set to wear a director’s hat. If sources are to be believed, the actor will be directing a movie titled Idiyudan Koodiya Mazhai, in which he will be playing the lead role. He will also produce the movie under the banner of Sri Balambigai Movies.
It seems that Idiyudan Koodiya Mazhai will be a bilingual and will be made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. The shooting for this film is said to begin on 2nd June in Chennai. The film is supposed to be a suspense thriller filled with a lot of action sequences.
They say that popular stunt directors Thalapathi Dinesh, Rocky Rajesh and Kanal Kannan, will also be doing cameos in the movie thanks to the amazing rapport that they share with Ponnambalam. While Chandrakanth is said to be playing the other hero in the movie, Mayilsami, Vadivukkarasi and Devan will be performing some of the other important roles.
