Plays, workshops at Dubai theatre festival
July 14th, 2010 - 12:23 am ICT by IANSDubai, July 13 (IANS/WAM) Plays by UAE-based theatre groups and workshops on various aspects of theatre production from scripting to directing, acting, costumes, lighting and set design will feature at the fourth edition of the annual Dubai Festival for Youth Theatre that opens here Oct 1.
Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chairman of festival organiser Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, said Tuesday the event will attract acting talent from across the UAE.
In addition to serving as a platform to showcase local talent, the festival will also highlight socially relevant themes through the eyes of Emirati youth.
