Playboy’s June issue centerfold to be in 3-D featuring Hope Dworaczyk
May 12th, 2010 - 2:20 am ICT by BNO NewsCHICAGO (BNO NEWS) – Playboy announced Tuesday that it will be releasing its first-ever 3-D centerfold in the magazine’s June issue.
More than 50 years ago, Playboy Magazine introduced the celebrated Playmate Centerfold, and the magazine has now decided to take advantage of the resurrected 3-D trend that is now reaching different markets outside the movie industry.
The 3-D nude image will be featuring Playboy’s 2010 Playmate of the Year Hope Dworacyzk, who will realistically satisfy magazine readers in a three-page 3-D image. The photography session was shot using state-of-the-art, stereoscopic, high-resolution digital photography.
“I wanted to create a 3-D pictorial for the very first issue of Playboy, but didn’t have enough money to include the 3-D glasses,” said Playboy founder Hugh M. Hefner. “I’m happy to see the idea come to fruition with the help of one of my favorite TV shows, ‘True Blood,’ and I think Playboy fans will enjoy seeing our Playmate of the Year’s true form.”
The Centerfold is sponsored by HBO to promote the launch of “True Blood” Season 3, and it will be accompanied by a 3-D “True Blood” ad, complimentary 3-D glasses, and a series-themed Data Sheet with vampire-inspired stats and facts.
