A student who was involved in the tattling that ultimately led to the dismissal of Carlie Christine, the cheerleading coach who had posed nude for Playboy, appeared on “The Today Show” on Monday morning. Adelle Geniella, 14, and her parents Scott and Heather appeared on the show to discuss the issue.

Carlie Christine also says her last name is Beck, and appeared on the Cyber Girl of he week section of the Playboy. She was coaching cheerleading to the students of the Casa Roble High School in Orangeville, CA, and had not agreed to let some students be on the cheerleading team because they were not performing very well. The bunch of students who got cut, and some of their parents got together in getting hold of Carlie’s nude photos and sending them to the School Principal who fired Carlie at once. Geniella said on “The Today Show” that she was barred from next year’s tryouts at the cheerleading team for having too many unexplained absences, in spite of the fact that she was the captain of the cheerleaders. Later when she discovered that their coach had posed in the buff for Playboy she and her parents informed the Principal about it. They said they had tattled about Beck only because they found her past to be unsuitable for a coach and thoroughly unprofessional and revenge was not a motive. Geniella said, “When I found out about it, I definitely lost respect. That’s not where my morals stand.”

Meanwhile Carlie Beck defended her nude posing for Playboy in February and said that it should not have anything to do with her current job at Casa Roble. She said, “I understand that morals are a subject of opinion, and although parents may have different opinions than I, they’re entitled to those. As far as [whether] the job can be based on someone’s opinions of morals, I don’t know that that is true.”
